This customer challenged us to build a completely bespoke engine assembly rig. It was designed to automatically raise / lower and rotate to the correct position to allow the operators to fit the various engine components. This was achieved using PLC control with HMI screens which interfaced with our lift assists for ultimate safety.
This special purpose machine was made for a customer that manufactures hydrogen power stacks. It allows the operator to align and assembly stacks in a controlled manor. The system includes countless sensors, light curtains and safety features to ensure incredible precision.
This special purpose machine goes hand in hand with the "Bespoke Stack Assembly Bay", once the assembly bay has manufactured its component and completed all of its tests, then the stack loader transports finished stacks from the assembly bay into their compression skid.
